About

I am Gabriel “DarthTaksil” “TheOatmealGuy” Eisler. I have worn many hats but my most famous are my known Broadcasting and Sports Management.

As of current, I run 2 sports broadcasting networks, am the Lead Commissioner of an Esports League, and Host a Podcast.

Competitive Sports Broadcasting

Slippery Rock Sports Network

Oct. 2014 – Current

I started my pursuit of Sports Broadcasting in 2014. I would Record local Volleyball Games for the Team’s Families to view. Throughout the next 6 years I travelled sharpening my skills adopting several sports along the way. I would travel as far East as York, Pennsylvania and as far west as Cleveland, Ohio capturing whatever sporting events were asked of me. These sports ranged from Volleyball, Basketball, Football, to Hockey and Soccer.

SPLNetwork

Oct. 2020 – Current

October of 2020 I joined the Broadcasting team of the Slapshot Premier League (SPL). Broadcasting many of their lower division events and regular season games. After a few months I was then promoted to the Lead Broadcaster and Lead Graphic Designer, where I still reside until this day. In my time I have broadcasted over 500 Regular Season Slapshot: Rebound matches and over 100 Playoff Matches. Which roughly translates to 15-18 games a week during the seasons.

Sports Management

2021 – Current

During January of 2021 I was brought onto the Slapshot Premier League’s Open Committee. The Open Committee was put in place to help input statistics of the matches played in the lower divisions alongside general problem solving between captains with scheduling issues.

April 2021, I was promoted to League Administrator where I was in charge of managing the Staffing Team and the Open Committee, putting together each Season’s Schedules, Maintaining and updating the Rulebook, Solving any issue that arose that the Staff and Committee could not answer.

In between each SPL (Slapshot Premier League) season I would be the head Tournament Manager. every Saturday/Sunday during the offseason I would; ensure teams had allocated enough time and awareness to sign up for each tournament, check in each team as to safeguard against teams not showing up to their matches. I would also be responsible for creating each tournament’s seeding, generating each bracket, entering match statistics, and announcing the winners.

As ODDSHOT Games’ E-Sport Manager I am also each of the 3 league’s advisor for any query they might have. Whether its a rule suggestion, or a situational judgement call.

Podcast Personality

THE PODUMB

2019 – Current

I started the PoDUMB with my two friends. English Major, Scott Lefever and Actor, Luke Pfeifer. We were involved together on several filming projects prior and wanted a podcast to tell the tales of on-set experiences. That idea dissolved as the years went by and now the podcast serves as a net of everything and anything that comes to mind after the Record button is pressed.

SPL: Post to Post

2022

A short news style broadcast would take place everyday at 2pm est. I would anchor the broadcast going over the League’s Matches of the night, standing changes, game predictions, along any relevant league news. The show would normally span an hour to 2 hours long.

SPL: The SlapCast

2022

“The Slapcast” was another show similar to Post to Post. The Purpose of the show was to provide the audience with up to date information about the Slapshot Premier League’s current affairs. I would appear on this show as a Rulebook consultant and a guest to explain the quandaries of situational rulings if proven to be controversial enough.
